CLI Reference

Every command, organized by what you’re doing.

Eleven top-level commands. Below they’re grouped by intent rather than alphabet, so you can find what you need by purpose. Each command links to its own reference page.

Get help from the CLI itself

Every command supports --help. The output is always the source of truth — the docs you’re reading mirror it.

Setup

pals init→

Create the local config directory, write a default config.json, and generate an identity key.

Operate a swarm

pals swarm→

pals invite→

Mint, list, revoke, or re-display invite tokens for your swarm.

pals peers→

List redeemed peers in your swarm and revoke / kick anyone who joined.

pals create→

Start a server hosting a NEW swarm. Your machine holds a slice of the model.

Join a swarm

pals login→

Redeem an invite token. Adds your peer to the swarm allow-list.

pals join→

Bring your machine into an existing swarm using a bootstrap multiaddr.

Inspect & serve

pals status→

Print local pals config + identity state.

pals list→

List locally cached HuggingFace models — a quick view into what is already on disk.

pals serve→

Run an OpenAI-compatible HTTP server backed by the swarm.

pals dash→

Live read-only TUI dashboard: peers, invites, status.
